Job description

Our technical team is growing as we expand our current solutions to better support the different business units of Climact. We're looking for enthusiastic new colleagues to join us at a period of rapid growth, to be part of an innovative team that’s having a global impact in tackling climate change. As Software Engineer you will : 

  • Direct and execute the technical development of projects, focusing on maintaining high coding standards, fostering innovation, and addressing immediate project needs.
  • Ensure that technical solutions are efficiently implemented and maintained, with a focus on project delivery efficiency, code quality, and timely delivery.
  • Lead coding efforts and technical problem-solving, implementing best practices in software development to ensure project specifications are fully met.
  • Oversee technical aspects of current projects, ensuring best practices and efficient methodologies are consistently applied.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Products and Technology to ensure high-quality and timely project delivery, defining the number of days needed by the tech team to realize tasks.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Products and Technology to align technical projects with the overall company strategy and product vision.
  • Manage the release process of tools, ensuring seamless deployment and integration.
  • Be prepared to mentor and guide new members of the tech team as it grows in the future


Job requirements 

Potential candidates should demonstrate the following experience and skills

  • Proven credentials in leading technical/IT teams, around the deployment of IT products
  • 5 years of relevant experience in programming/soft engineering/architecture design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of creativity and autonomy
  • Engineering and/or IT degree.
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Strong use of planification and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Odoo)
  • Version control knowledge (Git)
  • Technical experience in the following is an asset:
    • ETL pipeline
    • Knowledge of database management and SQL
    • Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
    • Containerization (e.g. Docker)
    • Workflow orchestration
    • DevOps and CI/CD
  • Capability to harmonize best practices.
  • Good communication skills (EN required, FR and NL are strong assets)
