Job description

Our technical team is expanding as Climact grows, and we’re excited to welcome junior developers eager to launch their careers with us. This is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-driven, innovative team making a global impact on climate change. 

As a Junior Developer, you will:

  •   Contribute to developing and maintaining software solutions that support Climact’s technical and consulting goals.
  •   Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and organized code.
  •   Support senior developers in implementing best practices for project efficiency and quality.
  •   Assist in designing technical solutions, applying fundamental programming logic (e.g., object-oriented programming) across different languages and frameworks.
  •   Develop familiarity with various DevOps tools, deployment processes, and cloud environments.
  •   Collaborate with team members to align technical solutions with project timelines and objectives.
  •   Cultivate curiosity in exploring multiple programming languages, frameworks, and IT tools for deployment, storage, and cloud services.
  •   Participate actively in problem-solving and brainstorming sessions.

Job requirements 

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and qualities:

  •   A passion for climate and energy issues and a commitment to contributing to impactful change.
  •   Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  •   Understanding of programming logic (e.g., object-oriented programming) and familiarity with a range of programming languages or frameworks.
  •   Very good knowledge of Python and interest in expanding programming and technical skills.
  •   Knowledge about IT tools related to DevOps, deployment, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
  •   Understanding of data storage solutions (databases, data lakes, etc.) is a plus.
  •   Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Odoo).
